ASK ME ANYTHING (FAQ)
CAN I BRING TOYS OR BLANKETS
Please don't, Bob's Animal Friends will supply your pet with blankets if you prefer versus the raised bed. Personal beds or blankets can be destroyed, the stuffing or pad could be shredded and that is a hazard to all pets. Our blankets do not have any bedding or stuffing. Also, with beds or blankets at home, there is a small risk of spreading germs or bugs, etc. For example, you might not know you have fleas and then bring your blanket and bedding and spread it to everyone else here.
DO YOU NEED THEIR BOWLS?
No, Bob's Animal Friends has all the bowls here. We have non-tip, metal, big, small, slow feeder, etc.
HOW SHOULD I BRING MY PET'S FOOD?
Labeled with directions on a zip lock bag or baggies works best. You can do it for the entire stay or do individual meal portions. Please do not bring more than needed for their stay. You will be provided a small or large tote for your food, meds, treats, and collars.
WHAT VACCINATIONS DOES MY PET NEED TO BOARD/PLAY THERE?
All pets need to be current on vaccinations. The vaccinations required here are Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. We will need these on file, so please bring in a copy of your records or have them emailed to bob@bobsanimalfriends.com. Please plan ahead, vaccines that are administered within 14 days to your reservation will NOT be accepted and you will be turned away due to risk to your pet and others. Pets can have allergic reactions, have diarrhea, get lethargic/sick and possible viral shedding, etc.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED 1 DAY/1 NIGHT? WHEN IS CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT?
1 day/night starts the day you arrive and ends at 11am the next day. After 11am another day begins.
Check ins are from 3pm to 7pm.
Check outs are from 6am to 11am
*Early or Late check ins/check outs are available upon request.
* Please note there are limited hours on weekends and no check ins/check outs available on Holidays.
WHY ARE YOU DOORS CLOSED FROM 11AM TO 3PM?
Doors are closed from 11am to 3pm to allow for cleaning of boarding departures and preparing for new boarding arrivals. Also depending on the weather, this could be due to the staff supervising the playgroups in the outside play area.
IT SAYS YOU ARE CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS. DO WE NEED TO PICK UP OUR DOGS BEFORE THEN OR IS ANYONE THERE WHILE YOU ARE CLOSED?
Correct, our doors are closed on Holidays. This means no check ins or check outs are available.
No, you don't need to pick up your dog before then. We are still staffed and working on those days. Your pets are still getting the same level of care as normal.
